Frank Gortsema is best known for his Michigan Specials - large multi-axle rigs operating in Michigan, where he grew up. His models have been featured in L. Kroack's book COLLECTING AND BUILDING MODEL TRUCKS (Tab Books, 1908) and in various issues of SCALE AUTO ENTHUSIAST, RPM FOR TRUCKERS, and WHEELS OF TIME. He has built a number of custom models for owners of classic trucks as well as for private museum collections.
